Arosa tap water is 100% spring water and is spring-fresh at a temperature of around 8°C. We charge CHF 5 per liter for the service in the restaurants.
The free local bus to the village runs directly in front of the hotel. You can reach the village in less than 10 minutes. You can find the current bus timetable here. You can reach the village on foot in around 30 minutes.
You will receive the Arosa All-inclusive Card (valid incl. arrival and departure day) free of charge from your first overnight stay. We will send you the card in digital form after your check-in.

The hotel does not have rooms specifically equipped for allergy sufferers. However, all rooms have walnut parquet flooring. Synthetic pillows and comforters are available on request for allergy sufferers.

An original 19th century Walser parlor - the perfect setting for a delicious fondue. Incidentally, the fondue is made right next door and is not the only highlight of the Maran Alpine dairy.
There is a pool table in our hotel bar. Billiard cues and balls can be obtained free of charge from reception.
As a bike hotel, we have a self-service bike workshop, a bike storage room and a washing area for bikes. In our parking garage we have a bike storage facility, which is locked at all times and can only be opened with a keycard. You can get this keycard at our reception. For more information, tips and maps for your next bike tour, please contact our reception.
Please note that we do not provide bikes in the hotel itself. However, you will find several sports stores in the village that rent out both bikes and e-bikes.

For reasons of sustainability and out of respect for our environment, you will receive the invoice the evening before to the e-mail address you have given us. Your receipts from our restaurants are deposited with us at the reception. We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 am on the day of departure. Thank you very much!

A varied breakfast awaits you with a selection of fresh breads, various types of muesli, fine egg dishes, seasonal fruit, regional cheeses and a wide range of sausage and meat specialties.
We also serve various coffee drinks, fresh fruit juices and an exquisite selection of teas. This ensures an enjoyable and carefree start to the day.
External guests are also very welcome to enjoy our varied breakfast buffet. Please understand that we may not always be able to offer places for external visitors if our hotel is very busy.
In our fitness room, which is 100m² in size, cardio and strength equipment as well as endurance equipment for cross-country and rowing training are at your free disposal. You are also welcome to try out our SensoPro machine for coordination training. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our hotel is equipped with a modern fire alarm system. Please read the rules of conduct posted on the inside of your room or cupboard door carefully. The emergency exits are marked "Exit" in large letters in the corridors. In the event of an emergency, the assembly point is opposite the hotel at the "isblaatere". Please follow the instructions of the staff.
Golfhuus

The cozy atmosphere inside and the breathtaking view of the cross-country ski trail with its great mountain view inspire our guests. Chef Ricardo Sapuppo brings his love of authentic Asian cuisine to Arosa under the motto "Golfhuus goes Asia". The dishes are inspired by his numerous stays abroad and travels in Southeast Asia and Australia. The highlights on the menu range from homemade dumplings and tender Indonesian beef rendang to laksa soup, a classic dish from Malaysia and Singapore.
His many years of experience as Executive Sous Chef and his culinary travels have shaped his style and created a fusion of tradition and innovation. Experience flavors and textures that you would otherwise only find far away – here in Arosa.
We will be happy to put together a barbecue package for your hike or bike tour. Please place your order at reception by 6 p.m. the evening before at the latest.
Vouchers are a popular gift. You can order vouchers for Hof Maran, the isblaatere and the Golfhuus conveniently via our website. Our reception team will also be happy to help you and issue your desired vouchers directly on site. If you would like to redeem a voucher, please hand it in at the reception desk no later than the day before your departure.
All consumption in the hotel, as well as in the restaurants including Restaurant Golfhuus and isblaatere, can be charged directly to your room bill. Please tell the member of staff your room number and sign the receipt.
As a hotel guest, you will receive a 20% reduction on the green fee and we will charge this directly to your room bill. You can either reserve your tee time directly with the golf club or with us at reception. If we can do this for you, please let us know your home club and your handicap. You can use our spacious bike room or the garage to store your bag. Golf equipment can also be hired from the Arosa Golf Club 200 meters below the hotel. Dogs are allowed on the Arosa golf course on a lead.
After you have vacated your room by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure, you are welcome to leave your luggage at reception if you wish to leave later. Our team will be happy to help you with your luggage.
We will exchange euros at the daily rate of the Graubündner Kantonalbank (minus a commission
of 3%). However, we recommend that our guests pay in Swiss francs or by card.
You are welcome to reserve a parking space in our garage for CHF 20 per day. Please contact the reception. The hotel is not liable for the theft of or damage to guests' vehicles or the contents of vehicles parked in the parking lot or garage. Unless the theft or damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of the hotel.
3-course Hof Maran menu for CHF 55 per adult person/day
If you have booked half board as a family, the children eat from the children's menu or the children's buffet. It is also possible to book the 3-course Maran menu for the children in the evening for an additional charge. You are welcome to add to your 3-course menu individually. Each additional course (except main courses) is subject to a surcharge of CHF 7.50 per person and course.
If you eat out on an evening, the half board per adult will be credited.

We are happy to provide you with selected toiletries free of charge. Other items are available at the reception desk for an additional charge.
Your four-legged companion is very welcome! We charge CHF 20 per night for dogs (without food, regardless of size). Please understand that dogs are not allowed in our half-board restaurant or in the breakfast room.
Dogs are welcome to accompany you in our à la carte restaurant Maraner Stube and in the Bündner Stübli (Stube for cheese fondue).
We ask you to keep your dog on a lead throughout the hotel.
We offer a free arrival and departure transfer from Arosa train station between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm. Please let us know your arrival time by telephone or email to hotel@hofmaran.ch by the day before your arrival. If your train arrives late in Arosa, we would also be grateful if you could let us know.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms. You can log in to the "Hof Maran Guest" network with the password you will find at the check-in information.
Our children's prices are deliberately designed to be family-friendly and fair. From the age of 7, children pay a small contribution to the overnight stay - however, we do not charge the full room price if there is only one adult and children in the room. Even in such cases we are accommodating to our guests, because the well-being of families is particularly important to us.
There is a children's playroom for our younger guests, which can be used at any time. We also offer a pool table and table football for free use. Outside, our youngest guests can enjoy the wooden playground right next to the terrace of the Maraner Stube. Please note that we do not offer childcare.

You also have the option of preparing your own bread rolls or sandwiches from the breakfast buffet. For this we charge CHF 5 per roll/sandwich.
Late check-out is possible on request, for an additional charge and subject to availability. Please contact us for this.
We have been smoking Scottish "Label Rouge" salmon at Hof Maran for many years. Salmon orders can be placed at reception until 18.00 the evening before your departure. In one piece for CHF 9.90/100g or sliced for CHF 10.80/100g. Don't forget the matching mustard and dill sauce for CHF 6 per jar.

Our cozy Maraner Stube with a large sun terrace is also ideal for a small snack in between meals. The pâtisserie is freshly made in-house every day. In the evening, you can order alpine dishes with an international touch from our exquisite evening menu. We focus on top regional products and traditional down-to-earthness, combined with innovative culinary art.
The minibar is replenished daily and is subject to a charge (except for mineral water). We will be happy to advise you on other drinks at our hotel bar.

Our playroom on the first floor (west wing) has everything to make children's eyes light up. We are delighted when our little guests leave the playroom tidy again.
You will find slippers in all rooms. Please note that these are one size fits all.
Whether it's your first time on skis, jumping over the kickers in the snow park or winning a medal in a ski race - the best way to do it is at one of the two ski and snowboard schools in Arosa - and for free! Children and teenagers up to the age of 17 benefit from free group lessons at the ABC Snowsports School Arosa and the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Arosa for stays of two nights or more.
Did you know that with us your children benefit from 2 lessons (in contrast to the official destination offer) per day/child at one of the participating ski schools? We give our youngest guests both lessons a day (morning and afternoon) for free and thus round off your family vacation perfectly. Please note that this offer only applies to group lessons within the ski school inclusive.
What to do:
Register your children with one of the two ski schools mentioned above. On arrival you will receive the relevant voucher from us, which must be handed in at the ski school office before the first lesson. The ski school will then also inform you of the meeting point for the children.
Important note:
If there are fewer than 4 participants per group, the ski schools reserve the right to combine individual groups, adjust the offer or even cancel it. It is not possible to offset the "Ski school included" offer with private lessons.
The first ski lift (Prätschli) is just a 2-minute ride away on the free local bus. In high season, the bus runs every 20 minutes. Depending on the snow conditions, you can drive back to the hotel.

The earlier you book the tickets, the better the price. The transaction must be made at least 1 day before use and you pay everything online via credit card, Twint or PayPal.
You can load the tickets onto your existing ski passes or the Swisspass (with the card number) or we can print the ski passes onto new depot cards on site. Please take note of the cancellation conditions.
The ski cellar is accessible to all our hotel guests free of charge. Please note that the hotel accepts no liability for damage or theft. The area is under video surveillance.
Our hotel does not have its own sports store.
However, we work together with our partner Carmenna Sport for the rental of ski equipment. As our guest, you will receive a 10% discount. Particularly practical: at the end of your stay, the rented equipment is collected directly from our ski cellar - you don't have to bring it back to the village yourself.
There is a shoe shine machine on the first floor by the reception for cleaning your shoes.
We recommend that all our guests carry snow chains in winter, just in case. There are days on which the road from Chur to Arosa requires snow chains (except for 4×4 vehicles). You can always check the road conditions in advance.
We offer free sledge hire for hotel guests. Please come to the reception desk. Please note that we only have a limited number of sledges and do not reserve them out of fairness to all guests ("es hät so solangs hät").
Our sauna area has a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, an infrared cabin and a soothing aroma steam bath. Children under the age of 16 are only permitted to enter if accompanied by an adult.
Winter opening times:
Our sauna area is open daily from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
If required, we are also happy to heat up the sauna area from 2.00 pm. Please contact reception at least half an hour before you wish to use the sauna.
Summer opening times:
Our sauna area is heated for you by appointment - possible daily from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Please report to reception at least half an hour before you wish to use the sauna.

Each room is equipped with a safe. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that your valuables in the room are not insured by the hotel.
Calls outside the hotel do not require a zero for an outside line. For calls within the hotel, dial the corresponding room number. We will be happy to forward incoming external calls directly to your room.
The two tennis courts at the isblaatere with their unique view are available to our hotel guests free of charge in summer. Tennis rackets and balls can be hired directly from the isblaatere. Reservations for tennis courts are accepted by our reception and the isblaatere team.

For sustainable reasons and out of respect for our environment, we do not display newspapers and magazines. You can download various issues via our online newspaper kiosk and read them conveniently on your smartphone or tablet.
Depending on the agreement, the total amount of your booking is due after the free cancellation period has expired.
Please note that the total amount of your booking will be charged to the credit card provided to us after the free cancellation period has expired. Thank you for your understanding.
Reservations made via online portals are subject to the respective reservation and cancellation conditions.
Guests who have not yet stayed with us 5 times must pay the total amount of the reservation before the free cancellation period expires. This advance payment will be debited in advance from the credit card provided. If an advance bank transfer is desired, please inform the reception(hotel@hofmaran.ch). No prepayment is required from the sixth stay onwards.
WLAN/WIFI is available to our guests throughout the house.
The reception will be happy to accept wake-up orders.
The environment is very important to us, so please make sure that you hang up your towels again. Towels lying on the floor will be washed. Towels are freely available in the sauna area. If you would like us to change your bed linen (outside of our rhythm), please place the card from your bedside table on your pillow or inform the reception.
Dirty laundry that we receive by 9.00 am will be returned to you within 24 hours. Please use the laundry bag provided and place it in your room. Please note the price list.
You can enjoy breakfast in your room from 8.00 am to 10.30 am. Please ask at reception for the corresponding order card. Please leave this on your room door by 0.00 am.
From 12.00 to 20.30 you can also choose from our room service menu, which you will find in the hotel guide. We charge CHF 6 per order for room service.
The Hof Maran has 54 rooms in seven different categories.
The photos shown for the individual room categories serve as examples of style and size. There may be deviations from the photos when the rooms are allocated on site.
We have double rooms that can be used for single occupancy or as family rooms. There are also rooms with connecting doors. Please contact our reception for expert advice on the right room type by phone or e-mail.
